Job Description:
This is an entry level position in the Quality Department.
Provide support within the Quality Department to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed.
Provide support to the Production Department to ensure all customer product criteria are being met.
Assess customer requirements and interact with plant personnel to proactively ensure customer satisfaction.
II.
Required Skills:
Must be able to use calculator and compute simple math.
Have an ability to communicate professionally with team members.
Must be able to use gages and gage fixtures, as well as measuring tools as required.
Provide legible, accurate and complete documents as required.
Must be able to recognize part defects.
Ability to work through problems and come to workable solutions.
Have ability to work with little to no supervision.
Must be able to stand for 8 to 12 hours.
Must be able to climb ladders and machines in a safe manner.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
III.
Essential Functions:
Work safely at all times.
Maintain 100% inspection list.
Assist with new hire orientation.
Complete data sheets for pre-launch products.
Audit parts per ISO procedure in containment and dock area.
Input containment data into excel spreadsheet.
Ensure quality area is kept clean during each shift.
Inspect and approve parts coming into receiving inspection.
Maintain consistency of quality criteria and comply with all company rules and policies.
Publish quality alerts to notify team members of quality issues.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
Establish temporary/permanent job books for new parts and maintain current books.
Conduct quality training.
100% inspect parts as required.
Attend training as required to improve skills.
Recommend continuous improvement activities.
Comply with and be a resource for all ISO/QS procedures.
Assist during ISO/QS internal audits.
Ensure NCMR's are written correctly and samples are marked up.
Ensure quality documents are maintained as required.
Participate on employee teams.
Travel to customer as needed to represent company.
Attend production or daily turnover meetings as required.
Attend monthly quality meetings as required.
Assist with ISIR's and PPAP's as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
IV.
Performance Criteria:
Must work to continuously improve all Production operations by meeting and exceeding all requirements for quality, accuracy, customer finished good requirements, organization, safety, projects, and 6S.
Ensure team follows all SOS and best practices while pulling or verifying orders.
Ensure compliance to all safety standards and ensure all safety equipment is working properly.
Ensure that all safety procedures are being enforced while performing tasks.
Alert any safety issues to the shift supervisors in writing.
Always protect product from damage and defects while performing tasks.
Ensure that all equipment is operating in the manner of its intended design.
If not give written notice to the appropriate department for repair or removal.
Ensure compliance to all QMS, SOPs, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
Must have good attendance and performance.
Maintain a strong commitment to quality at all times.
V.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associates degree preferred.
Must be open and available to continued education through Par 4 training programs.
Must be willing and able to pass random drug testing.
